Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA)

Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA)Stone Bridge Equestrian Center is proud to host one of the top Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Teams in the region. The Teams' mission is to achieve excellence in riding, horsemanship and showmanship; to demonstrate friendly, warm and sportsmanlike behavior at competitions; and to support each other as riders and individuals.

The National IEA provides learning and team competition opportunities for middle and high school age riders. Riders compete in teams at local IEA shows from October through April, in which they may aim to qualify for Regionals, Zones and even Nationals. Because a team is made up of riders at different levels, riders of all experience levels participate.

Riders do not need to have their own horses or equipment, because riders use horses provided by the host team. Thus, IEA Team competition is a fun and relatively affordable way for riders to learn and compete. IEA Team riding is also a great way for them to develop skills and accomplishments that are recognized and valued by colleges.
